Bhindi Masala is a very tasty and popular vegetable. People like to eat it with roti, partha, puri and dal chawal. Bhindi is made by roasting it with spices, which enhances its taste even more. This recipe is easily made at home and does not take much time to prepare. Let us tell you how to make masala bhindi in an easy way.

Ingredients

  1. Okra (500 gram)
  2. Onion (2 finely chopped)
  3. Tomato (2 finely chopped)
  4. Green pepper (2 chopped)
  5. Ginger garlic paste (1 small spoon)
  6. Turmeric powder (1/2 small spoon)
  7. Red pepper powder (1 small spoon)
  8. Coriander powder (1 small spoon)
  9. Garam masala (1/2 small spoon)
  10. Amchur powder (1/2 small spoon)
  11. Cumin (1/2 small spoon)
  12. Asafoetida (1 pinch)
  13. Salt (according to taste)
  14. Oil (3 to 4 tablespoons)
  15. Green coriander

How to prepare Bhindi

First , you should wash the ladyfinger properly, after washing dry it properly with a cloth, dry it in such a way that there should not be any water in the ladyfinger otherwise the vegetable may become sticky, now cut both the edges of the ladyfinger and cut it into round or long pieces.

  1. First, start the gas of all heat two big spoons of oil in a pan, when the oil is hot add the chopped ladyfinger, and fry it lightly for 8-10 minutes, keep stirring in between. When the ladyfinger becomes slightly crispy then take it out in a plate.
  2. Pour the remaining oil in the same pan, then add cumin seeds, when the cumin seeds start crackling, add ginger and chopped green chillies.
  3. Now add finely chopped onions and fry till they turn golden, once the onions are fried well, add ginger and garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Now add chopped tomatoes, then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix, then cook the masala till the tomatoes become soft and leave their tail.
  5. Now put the prepared ladyfinger in the pan and mix it well with all the spices like Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, coriander powder etc. Cook on low flame for 5 minutes to 7 minutes so that the spices get mixed well with the ladyfinger.
  6. Finally add garam masala and dry mango powder. Mix it well and turn off the gas. Add chopped coriander on top. If you want, add lemon so you can also add lemon juice on top of the dish and also garnished coriander leaves.
