New Delhi: Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, is heading towards a significant lead in the by-election for the Bankipur Assembly seat in Bihar. His victory is now all but certain, sparking great enthusiasm among Jan Suraaj Party workers and supporters. Elated by the party’s lead, Prashant Kishor lashed out at the BJP. He remarked that progress is impossible if a criminal is made the Chief Minister. He aimed at Samrat Chaudhary and spoke at length about the development of Bankipur and the politics of Bihar.

Respecting the people of Bankipur is the top priority

On Monday, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor stated that his primary objective following this victory would be to honour the blessings and trust bestowed upon him by the people of Bankipur. He added that every possible measure would be taken to improve Bankipur, with visible changes expected within the next two to three months.

He emphasised that he did not wish to make grand, unrealistic promises. While his election as MLA would not transform Bankipur into Bengaluru overnight, tangible improvements would certainly be visible within a few months. He also spoke at length about the BJP’s leadership in Bihar, noting that the people of Bankipur had sent a clear message to the party: the Chief Minister of Bihar should be a person of good character.

BJP should appoint a different leader as CM

Prashant Kishor sharply criticised Samrat Chaudhary. He stated that he would have no objection if the BJP replaced Samrat Chaudhary with another leader from the Kushwaha community as Chief Minister. However, he insisted that whoever is chosen must be a capable and honest individual from the Kushwaha community.

He further added that Bihar must move forward at all costs to ensure the state’s development. It does not matter who wins the election or which party forms the government; that is the essence of democracy. Victories and defeats are part of the electoral process, but the development of Bihar remains the most important factor.

What PK’s wife said

Jahnavi Das, wife of Prashant Kishore, who dismantled the BJP’s stronghold in Bankipur, expressed gratitude for the immense support received from the public. She said, “I thank the people of Bankipur from the bottom of my heart.” They worked very hard for this victory.

It is worth noting that the Bankipur seat in Bihar fell vacant following the resignation of BJP leader Nitin Navin. From the very beginning, a contest was anticipated between Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor and the BJP candidate.
