New Delhi: Farmers enrolled in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme are now awaiting the next instalment. Everyone is wondering when the central government will transfer the next instalment, specifically the 24th instalment under this scheme. So far, 23 instalments have been credited to accounts, and beneficiaries are now looking forward to the next one.
Speculation is rife regarding when the next instalment will be released. While the government has not yet made an official announcement, various claims are circulating in media reports. There is a possibility that the government could release the 24th instalment of ₹2,000 by Dussehra.

When will the 24th instalment arrive
Under the Modi government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, a total of ₹6,000 is provided annually in three instalments of₹2,000 each. Instalments are released every four months, with funds transferred directly to accounts via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The 23rd instalment was transferred in June.
It is anticipated that the 24th instalment will arrive in October 2026. The government has not yet set an official date for this. However, it is believed that the funds could be transferred by Navratri or Dussehra, ensuring a smooth process for farmers to check their payments without difficulty.
Complete essential tasks before the funds arrive.
Farmers often wonder why their instalment gets stuck. While a precise reason isn’t always immediately clear, there is no need to worry. A primary reason for a delayed instalment is the failure to complete e-KYC or link the Aadhaar card with the bank account on time.
If you have not completed the e-KYC for your account, the release of your 24th instalment will be stalled. You can complete this process via your mobile phone or by visiting a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC). Additionally, verifying land records on the government portal is also mandatory for farmers. However, if your status shows “No” next to “Land Seeding,” you must immediately visit your block office or the Agriculture Department office to have this rectified.

Will the instalment amount be increased?
Farmers’ organisations have long been demanding an increase in the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. However, the Central Government has categorically ruled out such a possibility. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan clearly stated in the Lok Sabha, in response to a question on the matter, that the government currently has no proposal to increase the amount provided under this scheme. The government is not going to increase the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for now.
