New Delhi: Although the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) has withdrawn its agitation following the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, certain issues remain unresolved. The CJP has alleged that protesters are being harassed by the police in states currently governed by the BJP or its allies. Consequently, students might once again take to the streets to launch a protest against the government.
CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka issued a stern warning, reminding the government of the deadline to provide a written assurance by Tuesday. He stated that if the government fails to fulfil its promise, the CJP, along with the students, will take to the streets to protest.

He noted that while there was an agreement to provide a written assurance by Tuesday, no official response has been received from the government so far.
Ranka asserted that the agitation was not called off merely based on someone’s face value; rather, two Union Ministers had assured students during a press conference that their demands would be met and a written assurance provided. If their word holds no value now, it raises serious questions about the government’s credibility.
Questions Raised Regarding the Law
Ashutosh Ranka also raised questions about the anti-paper leak law enacted by Parliament. He pointed out that while the law addresses punishment, fines, and fast-track courts, there is no clarity regarding the reforms to be implemented within the NTA to prevent paper leaks. Furthermore, he urged the government to move forward by consulting all stakeholders regarding the CJP’s five-point demands.
