The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released weather forecasts for various districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, monsoon activity is continuing to build day by day. Heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has even issued a stern warning regarding this potential heavy rainfall. Weather experts say that a deep and large depression is moving westward from Odisha, South Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh, bringing the potential for heavy rainfall. Furthermore, the heavy monsoon has already activated in most areas, and this will directly impact several districts of Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, a yellow alert has been issued for several areas of Uttar Pradesh due to the possibility of heavy rainfall. Along with the yellow alert, a heavy warning has also been issued. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) is predicting strong winds with speeds of 20 to 30 kmph.
In addition, there is a possibility of thunderstorms along with light rain in some areas of Uttar Pradesh. The IMD Meteorological Department has clearly stated that rain will continue in various areas of Uttar Pradesh within the next 24 hours.
Heavy Rain in Kanpur, Lucknow and Surrounding Districts
Cloudy skies are expected throughout the day in Kanpur, Lucknow, and surrounding districts. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in the surrounding areas, along with drizzle throughout the day. Additionally, there will be thunderstorms in the Purvanchal and Terai regions, such as Varanasi, Ghazipur, Ballia, Mau, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Chandauli, Mirzapur, and Sonbhadra districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the possibility of heavy rain. Furthermore, there are several areas where waterlogging is expected, and alerts have already been issued.
