New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, tendered after accepting moral responsibility following nationwide student protests, became a major topic of discussion. Although the resignation has taken place, the news continues to be a subject of debate. A new twist has emerged in this matter: an Instagram post by Archita Sarangi, daughter of BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, has also become a talking point.
After sharing a post regarding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, Archita posted an Instagram Story claiming she was being pressured to delete the post. She made it clear, however, that she would not delete it. Shortly thereafter, her Instagram account was deactivated.

Amidst protests by the youth, as soon as news of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation broke, Archita Sarangi shared a news headline on her Instagram account. The post conveyed the information about Pradhan’s resignation. She then shared an Instagram Story that sparked a fresh round of discussion around the entire issue.

In her Instagram Story, Archita wrote that she would not delete the post under any circumstances. She further stated that she wanted to assure ‘DP’sPA ‘, who was asking her mother to have the post removed, that this would not happen. It is believed that she used ‘DP’ as an abbreviation for Dharmendra Pradhan.
She wrote in the Story, “Don’t worry, this won’t be deleted. Jai Jagannath, Jai Hind.” Some time later, Archita’s Instagram account was deactivated. Following this, discussions regarding the entire sequence of events have intensified on social media.
Aparajita Sarangi supported Pradhan’s decision
It is worth noting that BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi supported Dharmendra Pradhan’s decision. She stated that Pradhan resigned by accepting moral responsibility for the NEET paper leak issue, describing it as a courageous decision. Aparajita Sarangi previously served in the administrative service. He then entered politics. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he won the Bhubaneswar seat, defeating the Biju Janata Dal candidate by a margin of approximately 35,000 votes.
Pralhad Joshi Becomes New Education Minister
Following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, Pralhad Joshi has been appointed as the new Education Minister. President Droupadi Murmu accepted the resignation on the advice of Narendra Modi and subsequently entrusted the Ministry of Education to Pralhad Joshi as an additional charge. Pralhad Joshi is already handling responsibilities for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
