New Delhi: The Middle East is finally heading in the direction that had been predicted. Rattled by US attacks, Iran has now launched strikes targeting US military bases in the region. Following these Iranian attacks, the Middle East is once again engulfed in turmoil.
Amidst the Iranian attacks and escalating tensions, concerns regarding civilian safety have risen in several areas. Authorities in Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan have urged citizens to stay safe, issuing security alerts via mobile phones and advising people to exercise caution.
Amidst this heightened tension and security crisis in the Gulf, governments have appealed to the public to strictly adhere to safety guidelines and avoid venturing outdoors. Iranian forces are conducting missile and drone strikes targeting US airbases across the Middle East.

Important Update from Qatar
Following the Iranian attacks, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior issued a significant update. The Ministry clarified that the security threat level in the country is currently high. It urged all citizens and expatriates to completely avoid any unnecessary movement.
The Ministry advised everyone to remain in their homes or other safe locations, stating that safety can only be ensured by following these measures. This step was taken after loud explosions were heard by eyewitnesses in Doha, and following blasts in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan that occurred in the wake of Iran’s retaliatory strikes on US bases.
Iranian Attacks Thwarted Mid-Air
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) successfully intercepted and thwarted the Iranian attacks mid-air. The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that the loud explosions heard in the area were the result of operations to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Defence announced that its air defence systems had successfully intercepted and destroyed ballistic missiles and offensive drones launched by Iran across various parts of the country.

Panic Grips Gulf Nations
According to reports by Fars News, panic ensued across the Gulf region when Iran launched attacks targeting US military bases. Loud explosions were heard in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. Viewing the situation with gravity, nations across the Gulf are now working to bolster their security measures and counter potential aerial attacks.
It is worth noting that a fierce conflict between the US and Iran has reignited, creating a precarious situation. Iran has announced plans to close the Strait of Hormuz, a move aimed at crippling global trade; this route handles 20 per cent of the world’s imports and exports.
