NSE has announced changes to lot sizes for major index futures & options.

Effective 28 October, Nifty 50 lot size will be cut from 75 to 65. 

Bank Nifty lot size will be reduced from 35 to 30. 

Nifty Financial Services index lot size will go from 65 to 60. 

Nifty Mid Select lot size falls from 140 to 120. 

The aim is to make contract values more affordable and improve liquidity.

Current contracts will remain under old lot sizes until December expiry. 

Members must inform clients about these upcoming changes. 

Traders will adjust their strategies ahead of the revision. 

The change reflects an effort to fine-tune the derivatives market ecosystem.
